Are you kidding me!?  I just saw the theatrical release DVD, and it was long enough. My wife (she loves the series) even thought it was too long, and too much of the same old stuff.  Carrie acts selfishly and screws up her wedding.  Miranda is, um, a bitch.  And, screws up not only her own relationship, and pretty much contributes to screwing up Carries marriage to Big too.  Big shocker!  Can I get some character development over here?  Ugh!  I cannot imagine subjecting myself to watching an extended cut of this film.
